Selected Profiles From Pendleton County History is now available. The book is a collection of biographical profiles of important figures from Pendleton County history. The profiles are divided into three sections: The Early Years, The Middle Years, and The Later Years. There is also an Appendix which features profiles of individuals who were instrumental in the growth of the Pendleton County Historical Society. In all, fifty individuals are included. Edited by Dyer Anderson and Eric Hedrick.

The book Victims of the Massacre at Seybert’s Fort, Augusta County, Virginia, 1758, is now available in both softcover and hardcover. Based on extensive research in numerous repositories and archives, this publication provides evidence regarding the identification of the victims of the massacre. The material presented corrects many of the long-standing errors and omissions pertaining to those killed and taken captive. By Sandra L. Keltner, Steven J. Zuraff, and Eric T. Hedrick.  

This project was chosen as a winner of the 2019 Donald Mosher Memorial Award for Colonial Virginia Research. The Mosher Award is administered by the Board for Certification of Genealogists Education Fund. Click here for the announcement. The Mosher Award was established in 2001 by Merrill Hill Mosher, CG, honoring her late husband. The Award was created to encourage the study and publication of Colonial Virginia era records. Eric Hedrick was chosen as the winner of the 2016 Donald Mosher Memorial Award for this work. Hampshire was formed from the VA counties of Augusta and Frederick and it included much of the South Branch valley. This series of CDs features probate material for researchers of Hampshire and also the present day WV counties Grant, Hardy, Mineral and parts of Morgan, Pendleton, and Tucker which were included in the early boundaries and were under the jurisdiction of Hampshire County for a time. 16 CDs available with high quality images of the original documents, not the recordings. Also available is a book of abstracts of all of the documents.
