This series of CDs for researchers of Pendleton Co., WV features images of probate material and judgments which were filed in Augusta Co., VA prior to the formation of Pendleton Co. in 1788. Eric Hedrick was chosen as the winner of the 2013 Donald Mosher Memorial Award for this work. The Mosher Award is administered by the Board for Certification of Genealogists Education Fund. Click here for the announcement. The Mosher Award was established in 2001 by Merrill Hill Mosher, CG, honoring her late husband. Hampshire was formed from the VA counties of Augusta and Frederick and it included much of the South Branch valley. This series of CDs features probate material for researchers of Hampshire and also the present day WV counties Grant, Hardy, Mineral and parts of Morgan, Pendleton, and Tucker which were included in the early boundaries and were under the jurisdiction of Hampshire County for a time. 16 CDs available with high quality images of the original documents, not the recordings. Also available is a book of abstracts of all of the documents.
